As a 26 year resident of PV, I have wondered why this resort has not been redeveloped. Having a background in hospitality development, I have followed this application. The current plans meet the intent of the "Enhanced Town Gateway" and "Visually Significant Corridor." The developer and project team have a proven history of high end project delivery. The project appears to address all the Town's concerns, while providing the option of a small high-end resort to visitors at the gateway to PV
Andy and Carol Gordon - Reside at 6837 E. Lincoln Drive since 1991. We appreciate all the thought the Planning Commission and the developer are putting into this important site. Thank you and, to all, please be well, stay well and take really good care.
As a resident of the Town of PV for 16 yrs and counting, I am opposed to the proposed Smoke Tree Resort as presented in the plans submitted. Unlike the old Smoke Tree cottages, which fit in with the surrounding houses to the west, this hotel design does not. This proposed development is too dense for a 5 acre parcel which will bring too much traffic to a small residential street, Quail Run, due to 122 rooms and a restaurant etc. Plus, perimeter lighting will bring light pollution to the area.
