Hedges are not currently in scope for the ordinance, as the Town expressly told me this in 2019 both verbally and in writing. In the presentation, it shows a combination view/fence with a hedge behind it with a label of “currently not permitted”. This is disingenuous. Further, regulating hedges seems impossible to fairly enforce. What about existing hedges? What happens if a single plant dies? Can a homeowner replace it? How do you define a hedge?
