Variance to allow a detached garage to encroach into the side yard setback
I oppose the request. This new structure so close to the street and front yard of the neighbors house impacts the curb appeal of the surrounding properties in a negative way. We should all behave in ways that are neighborly, and this request violates that rule, in addition to the existing setback rules that apply to all. As alternatives exist for the improvement that do not require a variance, there is no hardship here that would allow a variance to be properly granted by this Board.
