    As a member of the local R18A community I am in strong support of the requested variance to encroach on a setback for a pool. It is very challenging to design a safe pool with 20’ offsets from all property lines on these small lots. Given the number of variance requests for this very matter from the R18A community the Town may want to consider amending this code in order to accommodate its citizens. I appreciate all of the time the Town has put in these hearings, thank you for listening.

    Kathy and John Clifford, we are neighbors living at 7028 E Balfour Rd in Grosse Pointe. Grosse Pointe subdivision was platted in 1957 before the Town incorporated. While Quail Vista was platted in 1977, it has the same problems of non conformity to current restrictive requirements for development. We support Mr Rossi's request to rebuild a pool within the setback. We ask again, that the Town update R-18A historic subdivisions setback requirements to avoid repeated variance hearings.
