I am a resident of Paradise Valley and live within 1500 feet of the resort. Hotel Adelaide used to be a Days Hotel which hosted loud music events many weekends. Scottsdale Police was responsive to noise complaints. Appreciated Scottsdale as a good neighbor and in turn, I do not think Doubletree is being a good neighbor to Scottsdale residents living immediately across the street from the proposed outdoor venue site. Also, String lights, capped or not should not be allowed. As proposed, I oppose.

I am concerned about new sound pollution and light pollution. This neighborhood suffered terribly while the Days Inn (now Hotel Adeline) at 5102 N. Scottsdale Rd had frequent amplified music and DJ's using loudspeakers for parties and events. Numerous calls to the police resulted and the situation was terrible. Repeating any of that with this proposal would be tragic. Sting lights should not be allowed. Only 100% downward directed lights should be allowed. Please modify the plan accordingly.
